Privacy Policy
PrimoPicks provides fantasy contests and pools to commissioners and the friend groups they invite. This describes what we hold, where it lives, and who else can see it.
What we collect
Your email address, used to sign you in with a one-time code. A display name, if you set one. A mobile number, if you turn on text alerts. The contests you create or join, the picks you make, and the times you made them. Ordinary web-server logs, which include IP addresses and are also used to rate-limit sign-in attempts and pick-code guesses.
You can take part in a draft with no account at all by using a pick code. In that case we hold the name you type and your picks, and no email address.
Where it lives
On our own server, in our own database. PrimoPicks is self-hosted: there is no third-party analytics, no advertising network, no error-reporting service, and no data warehouse. Encrypted backups are stored with Backblaze B2.
Who else sees it
Resend delivers our email, so it receives the address a message is sent to and that message's contents — sign-in codes, draft invitations and notifications.
Twilio delivers optional text alerts. It and the carriers delivering the text process the destination number and message contents. Twilio also processes messages you send us, such as a HELP or STOP request, and delivery information.
GroupMe receives draft updates when your commissioner connects the league’s group and turns them on. These posts include league-visible names, picks, and a link to the board. Everyone in that GroupMe group can see them, including group members outside the league. Your personal email and text preferences do not hide group posts; you can mute the group in GroupMe.
Anthropic processes the league facts and notes supplied when a commissioner asks AI to draft an update. These can include league and team names, standings, and matchup scores. The commissioner reviews the result before sending it.
ESPN's public endpoints supply live scoring. That traffic goes one way: we read scores from them and send them nothing about you.
Other people in a contest you join see your display name and your picks — that is the product working as intended. A draft link makes that draft's board readable by anyone who holds the link.
Text messages
For league text alerts, you enter your mobile number in account settings, check an optional consent box, and submit the form. We keep your preferences, the exact consent disclosure and its version, consent time and method, opt-out message IDs, and delivery records to operate the service and honor opt-outs. A commissioner cannot subscribe you to personal texts.
We do not sell or rent mobile numbers or SMS consent. No mobile information or text messaging opt-in data or consent is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We do not transfer your consent to another sender. Our messaging providers process information only to operate these texts, as described above.
Message frequency varies with league activity. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT to stop texts, or turn texts off in your league preferences. Reply HELP for help; you can also use the in-app feedback button. See our text alert instructions and Terms of Service.
Cookies we set
Only first-party cookies, and only functional ones: a session cookie once you sign in, and a signed seat_<contest>_<id> cookie that remembers which seat you hold in a contest you entered with a pick code. No advertising cookies, no behavioural profiling, no cross-site tracking.
Deleting your data
Ask, via the in-app feedback button, and your account and the personal data attached to it will be removed. Contests you took part in may keep an anonymised record of the picks, because deleting one entrant's picks would silently change everyone else's final standings in a contest they already played.
Changes
Updated September 10, 2026, to describe optional web-form SMS consent and GroupMe updates. If what we collect or who receives it changes, this page changes with it.
